|Today, 6th July 2015 I was surprised to find a change of venue for Pastor's seminars from Tiwani to Sirende in Namanjalala. Not only that but to the church ministry founded by my dear departed friend Vitalis Nondi.
Not only was this the very first place that I preached on my first visit to Kenya in 1987, but my delight was multiplied to meet so many old friends - some I had not seen for maybe 15 years! Pastors Gabriel and Moses from Maridadi; Pastor Peter from Jerusalem Church in Uasin Gishu; Vitalis's family; a dear friend Florence with a smile as big and broad as I remember it.
Pastor Mike Wafula, who was my host, first heard me preach on unity in this place. It was this that led him to run with the 'Unity' message and founded IGEM, a ministry that is bringing thousands of leaders together.
At his request I taught again Unity in that place. A 'unity tree' was planted there today as a symbol and a remembrance of their desire to grow together in Namanjalala.
All together a great day!
