|I have never understood how TV producers can call the dross that they present 'Reality Shows'. There is a much harsher reality that most people close their eyes to or turn their backs on. Here in Pakistan, for example, is an awful reality facing girls as young as 8 years old that the world does not see. Here are three new stories that I have heard and seen in just the last three days...
Sunday - I met three sisters (the oldest is just 15) whose parents died and were taken into care by an aunt. She used them for prostitution. This is REALITY
Monday - At one of the hundreds of brick kilns in this area where Christians are enslaved I was introduced to two girls (pictured above) whose 'owner' was preparing passports for them to be trafficked abroad as sex slaves. This is REALITY
Tuesday - A group of Christian men came to the place I am staying with a report that an 11 year old daughter of one of the men was a victim of attempted abduction and rape. A man has been arrested, but will he receive justice? This is REALITY
These real stories make my determination to see The Rakhi Rescue Centre for girls built here. I will be working towards this aim on my return
