|It was good to renew many old friendships and make many new ones. Howard Hughes accompanied me for the first two weeks. After the longest gap (over 2 years) not a lot has changed in my beloved Kenya)
Perhaps the greatest blessing is to see that the vision that was held back in 1987 through The Lord's Ministries is being accomplished by the next generation. The orphanage at Liyavo has expanded beyond our own expectation. There are now two dormitories for boys and girls, a dining hall and even a new school is almost completed which will enable the 60 plus children to be educated.
The vision for unity that pastor Michael Wafula has been running with since my teaching back in 1990 has grown to a huge network of ministries linked together in many sub-Saharan nations. It is great to see how small seeds planted so many years ago are bearing much fruit.
Over the five weeks I stood to preach or teach more than 70 times in conferences and seminars for both church members and church leaders. A tiring schedule, but very rewarding. Another highlight was to preach and teach at the founding of a new church in Kapenguria. The first Sunday service saw 18 attending.
