Encouragement from places previously visited

Photo: We All Need Encouragement
The picture is of an open-air meeting in Kacheliba in Pokot, Western Kenya. I made several visits there with my dear departed friend Simon Changorok. He was able to open many doors for me in the Pokot, Marakwet, Karamoja and Turkana areas and together we held many conferences on 'Unity'.

It is not often that I get feedback after being in an area, and this was particularly true for this area after Simon died.

I have just recently received an e-mail from his daughter Susan Chemtai in which she wrote 'We visited Kacheliba recently with friends and my brother Francis. He said that the Market day was shifted from Sunday to Wednesday following your direction with my father and I thought that was a great because now people can worship on Sunday and still do their business on the other days. Thank you so much for the impact that has been felt'

Psalm 133 says that God commands the blessings when brothers dwell together in unity.

Other recent encouragements have been to see the work of The Lord's Ministries now being led by George Opara's son Eric. Much time and resources were planted into this work over many years and after going through many valleys it has been a great encouragement to see so much of what we thought was lost is now growing strong.

Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much fruit' John 12:24

In July I will be back in Gitega, Burundi where I will be with a church that was planted following a crusade meeting in this rebel attacked area.

There are many reasons to be encouraged.
